Abstract

Sexual abuse against minors constitutes a serious criminal offense that poses significant threats to the physical, psychological, and social well-being of children. In Indonesia, criminal law provides specific protection for child victims through the Criminal Code and the Child Protection Law, which impose strict criminal sanctions on perpetrators. This study examines the phenomenon of sexual offenses against minors that are influenced by exposure to pornographic digital content, particularly anime containing explicit sexual elements. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this research analyzes legal provisions, scholarly literature, and documented cases to identify contributing factors, including psychological vulnerability, interpersonal relationship failures, and uncontrolled access to digital media. The findings indicate that excessive exposure to pornographic content may function as a criminogenic factor that reinforces deviant sexual behavior, especially among individuals with impaired social and emotional development. Therefore, effective law enforcement must be accompanied by preventive measures, such as digital content regulation, public legal education, and strengthened parental supervision, to ensure comprehensive protection of children’s rights and to reduce the incidence of sexual crimes against minors.
