Abstrak

This study raises one problem: 1) whether there is an effect of applying the recitation method on the learning outcomes of class VII students in PAI subjects at SMP Negeri 4 Kotamobagu. The background in this study is based on observations made by researchers. In delivering lessons to students, teachers use more conventional methods so that the learning process in the classroom still focuses on the teacher, and ignores the focus of students. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of applying the recitation method on the learning outcomes of class VII students in PAI subjects at SMP Negeri 4 Kotamobagu.The type of research used is quantitative research. Quantitative research is a method of testing certain theories by examining the relationship between variables. Usually measured by research tools that analyze program data composed of numbers and statistical procedures. The research approach used is a pre-experimental research approach, namely one group pretest posttest with a single group design. The recitation method is a method of presenting material, where the teacher gives certain tasks so that students carry out learning activities and the results must be accountable to the teacher. The recitation method can be applied to all subjects including the subject of Islamic Religious Education and Character with the Material Wanting to imitate the obedience of the Angels of Allah SWT.The results showed that there was a significant effect on the difference between pretest and posttest which was influenced by the treatment in the form of learning using the recitation method because the two data had a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. The pretest and posttest learning outcomes have a value or mean posttest of 87.17, which is greater than the pretest of 65.67. then it can be concluded that Hₗ is accepted and Hₒ is rejected.
