PENGARUH SISTEM JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN JAGUNG KETAN (Zea mays , var.ceratina)

ABSTRACT: : The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of plant spacing on the growth and production of corn glutinous rice (zea mays var.ceratina). This research is conducted in the field , Molinow, Kecamatan Kotamobagu Barat. The implementation of research conducted 3 months , starting from J une 2017 to S eptember 2017. Research was conducted experimentally in the field using a randomezed block design method (RAK) wi th 6 treatments and 4 replications as follows: JT0=15 cm x 25cm, JT1=20cm x 25cm, JT2=40cm x 25cm, JT3=60cm x 25cm, JT4=80cm x 25cm, JT5=100cm x 25cm. V ariables observed were plant height and cob weight /plot. D ata analysis by using anal y sis of sidik varia nce, and if a significant effect then co n tinued with test of real difference (BNT) at 5%. From this research can be concluded that plant spacing has no significant effect on growth and production of sticky rice maize (zea mays var.ceratian). highest growth on 10 HST is on JT0 that is 7.25 cm, highest growth on 20 HST is on JT4 that is 38.75 cm and highest growth on 30 HST is on JT0 that is as bis as 72.75 cm, while the weight of corn glutinous plant is highest in the treatment JT5 that is 12.5 ounce while t he lowest average yield is in the treatment JT0, JT1, JT2, and JT4 ie each of them 10 ounce.
