PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MESIN COMBINE HARVESTER DAN MESIN THRESHER TERHADAP EFISIENSI PANEN PADI SAWAH (Oryza sativa L ) DI DESA SOLOG

ABSTRACT: This research is motivated by the importance of agricultural mechanization technology in improving the efficiency of wetland rice harvesting through the use of combine harvesters and thresher machines. This study aims to determine the effect of using both machines, both partially and simultaneously, on rice harvesting efficiency in Solog Village, Lolak District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. A quantitative associative approach was employed, with data gathered through questionnaires and secondary sources. The sample consisted of 30 farmers who utilize Combine harvester s and Thresher s. Data analysis included validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression an alysis, t- tests, F- tests, and the coefficient of determination using SPSS version 31.0. The results indicate that partially, the use of the Combine harvester has no significant effect on rice harvesting efficiency (t- count = 0.262; significance = 0.796). Similarly, the Thresher shows no significant effect (t- count = 1.778; significance = 0.087). Simultaneously, both machines do not significantly affect rice harvesting efficiency, as evidenced by an F- count of 0.646, which is lower than the F- table value of 5.39. The coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.046 indicates that the two variables only explain 4.6% of the variation in harvesting efficiency, while the remaining 95.4% is explained by other factors outside this study. In conclusion, although pra ctically the use of Combine harvester and Thresher machines helps accelerate work and save labor, statistical analysis reveals that their usage does not yet show a significant effect on the efficiency of wetland rice harvesting in Solog Village.
