ANALISIS PERANAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KINERJA USAHA TANI PADI SAWAH DI KECAMATAN KOTAMOBAGU TIMUR

Abstrak

Farmer is the main subject that determines the productivity of farm products in his

land. It is natural that farmers want to get a lot of gains from their farm products. Farmers always

try to increase their farm products but it is also depend on climate and season, sometime in the

middle of process, farmers face some problems such as the lack of irrigation canal and infrastructure,

etc. That is why farmers need the alternative of agriculture technologies and government policies to

minimize the result of those problems. Farmers must have an active participation in agricultural

activities. The activity of agricultural extension in development of agriculture has a function as

bridge w hich connecting the activities of farmer with information and technology which is needed by

the farmer. Farmers need information and innovation in agriculture to support their works in their

land. Farmers can get informations from Field Extension Agent by attending workshop and group

discussion which is conducted by Field Extension Agent. This research focused on the role of Field

Extension Agent in East Kotamobagu District. This research give contribution to the Field Extension

Agent so that they can increase their performance in giving informations to the farmers and the

farmers can get a lot of new informations to increase the productivity of their farm products so that

the farmers can increase their welfare. This research has goal to find out the contrib ution of Field

Extension Agent to increase the productivity of rice as farm product and to find out the opinion of the

farmer group about the contribution of Field Extension Agent in East Kotamobagu District.
