PENGARUH MULSA JERAMI PADI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN MENTIMUN ( Cucumis sativus L. )

Abstract

The influence of rice straw mulch on the growth and production of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L). Under the guidance of Ir. Feldy Karundeng, MSi, Yuyun Wahyuni SP,MSi. The purpose of this research is to see the effect of rice straw mulch on the growth and production of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L). The research was conducted by experimental field using random rancagan method of rack and each of six treatments was repeated as many as 4 replications as follows JPO = Control, JP1 = 2 kg per petak, JP2 = 4 kg per petak, JP3 = 6 kg per petak, JP4 = 8 kg per petak, JP5 = 10 kg per petak. Observed variables include plant height weight of fruit, number of pieces per plot. Data analysis by using analysis of variance and if significant effect then continued with test of real difference 5 %. From this study it can be concluded that rice straw mulch has no significant effect on the growth and production of cucumber plants, with the best mulch treatment is on JP4 = 8 per plot.
